The Tools
These are the machines in my arsenal, without which I wouldn't be able to make a thing.
The Workhorse
My heavy duty Janome HD-3000 is where I spend most of my sewing time. It most of the stitches necessary to do regular sewing and is able to handle thick fabrics as well as delicate ones. I don't know what I would do without this machine.
The Dependable One
The Brother 1034D seems to be the overlocker I see most sewists using and for good reason. It is easy to thread and easy to operate. I use it on almost every project, from finishing sleeves to sewing tee shirts, I always look forward to working with it as it is so dependable.
Chaos
When this Brother 2340CV coverstitch machine has everything aligned perfectly, it does such beautiful work. But it is picky, very picky. If you don't have the right needle, tension or pressure on the presser foot, watch out. The results will be a mess, and a lot of work to fix.
I have had this machine for over a year, and I am still figuring some things out, although it is getting easier all the time.
The Starter
Everyone has a starter machine, and this is mine. It is more like where I relearned how to sew. It had a difficult time when I started making jeans, which is when I went to the Janome. Still, it is great to have around when I need decorative stitching, or when I don't want to change stitch lengths on heavily topstitched projects, I can just seam on this machine and topstitch on The Workhorse
